| Guest | Editing keyboard layouts on Vista Hi, I developed a custom keyboard for Windows XP that include some useful characters thet are missing in regular italian layout (accented capital lecters, copyright symbols, you may see a complete list at http://www.paolobesser.it/tastiera). I need to use this layout on Vista, but I can't. If I try to install my custom layout I notice thet my keyboard is correctly listed among available ones, I can even set it up in the correct place (control panel > keyboard and other language ecc > change keyboard > regional and language options > keyboard and languages > settings > "italiano redazionale v1.2") but it doesn't produce any result: when I press my keyboard, regular italian layout is used. I also noticed that if I click on "Properties", I can't see any character assigned to keymap. So I have some question: - are custom XP keyboard layout still compatible with Vista? - is there anything like this http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/msklc.mspx for Vista? Please help me: I created my custom keyboard layout 'cos I need it for my job. I can't live without it :-) Seriously, p.bes |
