No sound in Call of Duty World at war

Hi. Do anyone know how i can get the sound back on ingame? The problem only conserns Call Of Duty: World at war.

Menu message states: To change speaker config you need to change the default playback device in your windows sound settings, and restart the game.

PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks-)

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed
between the time things worked and the time they didn't?

If sound works in all other applications, then you know the problem is
specific to the game. In that case, the best course of action is to check
with the game's tech support and/or its user forums. There are quite a few
user forums for the Call of Duty games. Here are a few links I found
Googling. If they aren't enough, you can Google for more.

Right click (not left) the speaker icon in the lower right of your screen.
Select Playback. Highlight the Audio Device you wish to use and set it as the
default.

its a vista problem, dont worry about it, some issues have arisen with the newest call of duty 5 patch(1.2), there is a temporary workaround, open up sound playback devices and click on speakers, click on properties, and at the top click on advanced, in there, switch your sound sample rate to 16bit 48000Hz DVD quality, this will give you sound back to game and treyarch will be releasing a patch(1.3) soon.
