pc freeze and hard drive keep running

hi i have a p4 3.2ghz,1gig ddr 400 pc3200 kingston,and geforce fx5200 128mb
unfortunately the hd is only 40gig but has lots of free space...i cannot get
it to work for more than a minute i have removed sound card wireless card usb
card...i do get it to work for about five minute but it is very slow and then
the cpu register 56% and it freeze and the only way out is switching it
off..i'm currently downloading rc2 hopefully it will impruve..

Do you have a different video card to try. I had the problem occur when I
installed a new video card (geforce 6200 128 agp) that was compatable with
Aero but it caused the computer would freeze up. I found my problem is with
the SIS agp drivers.
