| | Reclaim Ctrl-Space in Vista? Ctrl-Space is one of the most frequently used keys in Word 2003 as it changes back from for example bold or italic to normal character formatting. However, Vista has somehow claimed this key for other purposes and even after a lot of searching I haven't found a way to reclaim it. Is this at all possible? Willy |

And since this is a Vista group and not a Word group that just _might_ be my conscious choice because I had a Vista question and not a Word question. :-) We all have our different ways of working with Word and other software and fortunately there are several ways to turn off character formatting. So the problem here isn't that I'm stuck with bold formatting and have no clue about how to turn it off. The problem is Vista's behaviour, which is different from earlier Windows versions. I'm not only a professional writer, I teach others advanced ways of using Word, including VBA programming. Of course there was no way to know that from my message, so again, thanks for your willingness to help. Willy |

Nor do I care either way, truth be told, since I'm not that heavy a user. I posted what I did in order to encourage the OP to check *his* settings...In other words, I was trying to be helpful :-) -- Gene E. Bloch letters0x40blochg0x2Ecom |

This is as if I was looking for a very special spare part for a veteran car, and you said "You can always go to the UK and buy it." In other words, details please. I suppose you have them since you know this can be dealt with in the registry? Hope so! Willy Quote: > http://www.astorandblack.com/ > "Gene E.
