| | Compaq Presario CQ40-118AX I am having trouble with my laptop and I appologise if this is not the right place to post this but this forum has served me well in the past. I am having trouble trying to use custom made recovery disks, I have checked both the hard drive and the recovery disk on another system and no problems found, I seem to be getting a BSOD when the disk starts. The recovery disks I use are created with Pe Builder and Windows XP source files. I did have trouble along these lines with another laptop however I found disableing the Sata native setting in the bios solved the problem, but no such entry exists on this laptop. I have posted this question on the HP website in the hope that I can get some help there, so if a sollution is found I will post it back here. The BSOD message is stop 0x0000007b |
