I have a problem which has been driving me made for months. I simply cannot fix it
I'm running Windows Vists Business SP1. I have a domain hosted on Windows Server 2003 R2. Most of the configuration is default (out the box).
The problem that I have is that my "My Documents" folder is about 1TB in size. The hard drive on my laptop has about 120GB capacity. I really do want to use Offline Files but i'm unable to select which files not to cache. So my local hard drive fills its cache with files that i'm not interested in carrying around .
In WinXP i could control which folder are caches.
With Vista, I can control what is/is not cached on all network folders other than anything under MyDocuments, which is cached by default. The option to not cache a folder is greyed out ... (right-mouse on folder "Always Available Offline" is greyed).
I can switch off Offline Files completely.
I have played with all of the domain policied, but none seem to help. If i remember correctly, many of the original "offline files" policies under XP no longer work in Vista.
Any suggestions?
