| Guest | Install Missing Driver Vista Beta 2 x86 I downloaded the Vista Beta 2 (x86), am trying to install it and I get a dialog box asking me to select a driver to be installed, when I press ok, I get a message saying "No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK. I have no other options, I keep clicking ok and keep getting the same error message. |

| Guest | Re: Install Missing Driver Vista Beta 2 x86 Hello! It seems to me an external device is causing the prompting. Do you already have your printer/webcam/any other USB device already plugged in but maybe not installed? Have you checked to see if everything has installed correctly via the Device manager? Pleas let me know, and I'll try to help you some more. -- Dena Centenero Soon to be Dena Reiter Beta Tester Extraordinaire "JSass" <JSass@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:ED9664BE-F0F8-4383-946E-E9B43E4169F8@microsoft.com... >I downloaded the Vista Beta 2 (x86), am trying to install it and I get a > dialog box asking me to select a driver to be installed, when I press ok, > I > get a message saying "No device drivers were found. | Guest | Re: Install Missing Driver Vista Beta 2 x86 Hello! I cannot get to the device manager to check anything, I am stuck in a loop with the OK button. I do have a hauppage tv tuner card (I plan to install media center) in this machine. I will remove the card and start the installation once again. I do want to do a clean install on this machine it had XP on it) but I never got any prompts regarding partitions or how to install Vista, it just started to install. "DenaC" wrote: > Hello! | Guest | RE: Install Missing Driver Vista Beta 2 x86 You are correct. Had same issue when installing to a VMWare image created with Windows XP Professional. HOWEVER, the same iso image worked when installed on another machine with the latest VMWare software ?? | Guest | RE: Install Missing Driver Vista Beta 2 x86 Hi, I had exactly the same problem: turned out to be my USB mouse. After unplugging it and starting over the missing driver problem disappeared. Cheers, Steven.
