| Windows XP Proffesional x64, Windows Vista Ultimate x64, Windows 2008 Server x64 | Re: Password protecting folders You have no out-of-the-box solution for this, other than EFS (Encrypting File System) feature of Windows 2000+ NTFS, or for Vista Business/Enterprise/Ultimate the BitLocker tool (you need the TPM compliant BIOS). However, if you need just to protect your favourite pR0N like I do from the prying eyes, there is one excellent solution called TrueCrypt, confirmed to work on all modern Windows architectures, it can be found here: TrueCrypt - Free Open-Source On-The-Fly Disk Encryption Software for Windows Vista/XP, Mac OS X and Linux HTH, VLaaD |
