Task Scheduler - Doesn't run the tasks

Hi

I have my DB server running on a Windows 2008 Stand Edition 64 Bit box. I
use a tool to do couple of backup tasks automatically. If I run the tool.exe
with additional argument from command line it runs perfectly. If I use task
scheduler to run this tool - the task runs; says completed: but it doesn’t
run the tool.exe. I could see 0x16 in the Last run column. I have enabled
"Run with highest privilege" option in the task properties. In the history
tab of the task I could see the following information

Task Scheduler successfully finished
"{8482f301-585d-4096-8c11-b1f81fbb31d1}" instance of the "AutoTool-Daily"
task for user "DOMAIN\username".

Task Scheduler successfully completed task "AutoTool-Daily”, instance
"{8482f301-585d-4096-8c11-b1f81fbb31d1}”, action "C:\Program Files\Auto
Tool\TOOL.exe" with return code 22.

I also applied hot fix as per the article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951246/en-us but that doesn’t help.

The action page properties is as follows

Action: Start a Program
Program/Script: C:\Program Files (x86)\Auto 3\Tool.exe
Add arguments (optional): /o /p "C:\Program Files\Auto 3\taskDaily.ext3"
Start in (optional): C:\Program Files\Auto 3

From the command prompt If I run C:\Program Files (x86)\Auto 3\Tool.exe /o
/p "C:\Program Files\Auto 3\taskDaily.ext3” it perfectly runs without any
issue. But the Task scheduler it doesn't work.

Please advice

Thanks
Prakash

RE: Task Scheduler - Doesn't run the tasks

Hi

I managed to get this issue resolved. There was a setting to automation tool
causing the issue and set it all right.

Thanks, Prakash
