| | Problem with setting default programs I wanted to set firefox as the default browser. I went into set program defaults section and Firefox was not listed. So I set it default from within firefox. Now links do not open up when clicking within windows mail. What is the point in having default programs if they do not work? Why are only windows programs in the default section and why does it not list other installed programs? |

| | RE: Problem with setting default programs Hi. It is difficult to help without more details on how to reproduce the issue. I installed FireFox 1.5.0.7 on a fresh install of RC2 (5744). I was able to select it as the default and FireFox opened from a link in Windows Mail. In regards to your first paragraph, the issue may be with FireFox since it does not list Windows Vista as a supported OS. The issues in your second paragraph I am not able to reproduce. How did you install (fresh or upgrade) and what other changes (if any) did you make to your system before trying to set FireFox as the default?
