Vista - 5728 to 5744 update?

The update error 8024400A on 5728 is not going to be fixed, is it? So I
guess I have to install 5744.
Because I just finished installing all the software on the 5728 build, is it
possible to upgrade to 5744 without clean install?

And secondly, is there any changelog or what's new in opposite of 5728?

The upgrade worked smothly for me. A few people have posted they have had
problems. I would make sure you have a backup of any important files then
try the upgrade.

Jan, I've just upgraded 5728 to 5744 as a test exercise. Went very well.
(x64) At this stage there will only be bug fixes. Nothing new.

Be sure you upgrade from within Vista and not booted from the DVD.

Just to let you know. the 5728 to 5744 upgrade is not supported. If you have
done this please do not turn any bug reports in as they will not be
accepted.

If true, another indication that MS has no interest in feedback from the
general public. There is no mention of this fact on the public download
page.

The upgrade went fine, just minor settings weren't preserved, but that's
okay.

I agree with David and I do not see any point of refusing feedback about
....eg. visual bugs which are apparently independent of upgrade.

Where can i get 5744? I have been submitting feedback for 5728 and I didn't
get any info on 5744.
