| | Re: Vista differences? The addins to Vista Ultimate, while generally worthless to the average user, should not slow your machine down. Make sure that in addition to the most recent video drivers, and both Nvidia and ATI drivers support all panel aspect ratios, that you have the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard. |

Yep, it surely would make the computer seem to run slower if you're using older or generic drivers for the video system instead of the proper and updated drivers - especially given the symptoms you are seeing.
