Re: Vista differences?

Did you install all the same versions of device drivers (especially video)
in the Ultimate install that were present in the Business install?

I think I used the native drivers, because could not get widescreen modes on
the NVIDIA drivers

I think I'll try to see if I can find the proper drivers for my card. Thanks
.... But would that make the whole computer run slower? Atari emulator too is
not as fast as on the English Business version

Re: Vista differences?

The addins to Vista Ultimate, while generally worthless to the average user,
should not slow your machine down.
Make sure that in addition to the most recent video drivers, and both Nvidia
and ATI drivers support all panel aspect ratios, that you have the latest
chipset drivers for your motherboard.

Re: Vista differences?

Yep, it surely would make the computer seem to run slower if you're using
older or generic drivers for the video system instead of the proper and
updated drivers - especially given the symptoms you are seeing.

Now I tried new chipset drivers, new VGA drivers, but it still runs slow ...
Hmmm ... Maybe I'll try to re-install everything and see if that helps ...
Thanks though

Think maybe XP is better for my computer ...
