instead of less than 1. IE8 opened in 13 seconds rather than 3.
Reliability monitor opened in 6 seconds rather than 2. The same
phonomenum was experienced with XP Home.
Called Microsoft. Rep had me 1) delete temporary internet files 2)
clear cache 3) re-register Windows Vista DLLs 4) Uninstall IE8 using
Microsoft diagnostic tool 5) disable addons 6) try in safe mode with
networking 7) reinstall IE8.
Nothing worked. Too bad as once opened IE8, Windows Explorer, and
Reliability worked fine. The Microsoft rep said the data collected
will help them find a fix in the future.
In the mean time, I am back to IE7
