| | Audio/sound problems If you have Audio/sound problems, then you must be specific about what hardware and software you are using. My SB X-Fi audio card works on Vista RC1 5600; however, SB (Sound Blaster) says "This download supports Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit Beta 2 Build 5384 and Build 5456, and may not work on other Vista builds." SB has unsupported Beta drivers. I also have onboard audio SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio and both X-Fi and Sigmatel work the same way. WMP 11 works great, but PowerDVD 7 has crackly sound. I am only able to get 2 speaker confuguration. XP OS worked great with 5.1 and used less settings. Vista has a few too many audio controls. I now feel like I am an Astronaut when I use Vista. I bet ya that Vista will appeal to rocket scientists. Me thinks Vista is not very user friendly. |

| | Re: Audio/sound problems Mick, Remember CreativeLabs is responsible for the X-Fi drivers for Vista, not Microsoft. Since the current Beta drivers expire in a couple of weeks, I would expect to see updated drivers with more functionality shortly. Bill F.
