AIM Trition Issues

Okay I have Vista RC1 and use AIM to talk to some of my friends. At first,
AIM worked fine on Vista. But within the last week or so, it has been messing
up. What usually happens is, the program won't even load, then after I
reinstall it, it works then messes up later. I can get it to work but I have
to uninstall it and then reinstall it and it works. It just gets annoying and
I was wondering if there is a fix to this problem. Thanks

Re: AIM Trition Issues

Have you tried running it in compatibility mode yet?

Re: AIM Trition Issues

Yeah I have to set to Windows XP SP2. It worked fine until about a week ago.
It works and then freezes then sometimes it doesn't load at all. I'm just
wondering if there is a way to fix it thats all.

Re: AIM Trition Issues

AOL currently has a AIM 6.0 for Vista Beta:
http://beta.aol.com/projects.php?project=triton&loc=32

Give that a try.

Re: AIM Trition Issues

Tried it and all it does it freeze up. I had the old aim 5.9 for a while and
now it has stopped working. I am forced to use the aim from aim.com, the
express one and it sucks. Is there any aim or im program that lets me use my
current im address? I have read a few others and will try aim pro. If anyone
knows one that works, please tell me. Soon I will be running Vista RC2 and
see if that changes anything. Thanks
