RC2 - i'm impressed!

Now that all the programs I use on XP work on Vista RC2, I'm almost tempted
to upgrade my XP installation and remove the dual-boot!

The only program I have that doesn't work is Nero 7, but I have other
burning options which do work properly.

Can't wait for RTM release!

Re: RC2 - i'm impressed!

I am having good luck with it also. BUT - not ready to get rid of dual boot
XP yet.
I will probably buy Vista and keep dual boot for peace of mind.

Re: RC2 - i'm impressed!

I have already removed my dual boot.

Vista is the only operating system on the computer and is working near
flawlessly. Other than a known quirk with my printer, everything is
running _very_ smoothly.

Re: RC2 - i'm impressed!

I'm considering triple booting with XP Pro / XP 64 Bit / RC2. Is it true
that when you boot into XP it removes the Vista restore points?

For those of you who are running only Vista, will you be able to do an in
place upgrade to the real OS when the time comes?

The warning message I saw on the download page said you may not be
able to do a upgrade - only a clean install.

RE: RC2 - i'm impressed!

Am running RC2 and am also impressed. I got my media reader, sound and
printer to work. What program are you running to burn DVD's?

I'm using Ulead DVD Movie Factory 5 Plus, which has programs for authoring
DVDs, creating data CDs/DVDs and music discs. I've also got Cyberlink
PowerProducer 3 and PowerDirector 5 working now.

Re: RC2 - i'm impressed!

Are you getting sound with Ulead? On the builds I've tried, I've never
gotten any sound from my ULead applications, one of the reasons I won't
upgrade to Vista. (And I missed the few days when RC2 could be downloaded.)
Thanks.
