Program Installation

I am trying to install several programs (all InstallShield created) on Vista
Ultimate RC1 that install without any problems on Windows 2000 and XP.
However everything it extracts the msi file and then I get the following
error message:
Unable to save file c:\windows\Downloded Installations\{GUI# my program.msi
The system cannot find the path specified.

I then went to see what was in c:\windows\Downloded Installations but it
does not exist.

Any ideas what is causing this?

Jack

RE: Program Installation

There are many programs that are not compatible with Vista yet.

Re: Program Installation

You could try creating that folder and see what happens.
(just be sure you spell it correctly this time)

Re: Program Installation

Jack,

Try running the setup using the "Run as Administrator" option. You can right
mouse click on the setup and find it there.

Re: Program Installation

If you are using Vista x64, 16bit installers will not work. Some 32bit
programs have a 16bit installer.
