Windows Explorer Default Size

I have been trying, without success, to have Windows Explorer open as
"Maximized". Yet, it continues to only open in a pre-set size.

How do I get Windows Explorer to open as "Maximized"?

Thanks

Re: Windows Explorer Default Size

Do you have it set (under the "shortcut" tab in the properties of the link)
to run maximized rather than in a normal window?

Re: Windows Explorer Default Size

Rather than maximizing the window, drag it out to the sides of the display
with the mouse instead - drag the borders so it fills the screen - then
close the window. That should allow you to close it and then re-open it at
the desired size.

Re: Windows Explorer Default Size

Try Resetting your folder settings Tools - Folder Options - View - Reset
Folders

Re: Windows Explorer Default Size

Vista appears to ignore that setting.

Re: Windows Explorer Default Size

That works until I have to re-start Vista. Which is a fairly frequent
exercise.
