Re: Vista install

Boot a WinXP CD and load the Recovery Console by hitting 'r' when first
prompted, run fixmbr, then fixboot. Exit and restart, it should load XP
directly (the XP bootloader won't load Vista). You can then format the
partition/volume that contains Vista from Windows Explorer.

EasyBCD can also be used to remove the Vista bootloader from within Vista or
from within XP. I don't recall if VistaBootPro can do the same thing, but
it may.
