Help needed ...
My system crashed and I had to switch everything back to factory
settings from the boot-up menu. (e.g. pressing F8 during boot)
I noticed that my C drive is now more than half 'used'. (40GB
vanished)
I was able to locate a folder on the C drive named 'backup' and this is
the folder using up all of the space. This folder contains data from my
old programs etc.
Since the crash I have reloaded only the software that I have a need
for and I'm really enjoying the increased system speed etc. (i.e. not
looking to restore anything from old file) I store everything on an
external drive anyway.
Issue:
Almost every file contained within this 'backup' folder has
'permission' issues when I try to delete. I was able to go in manually
and make the needed change so I could delete some, but this is taking
way too long.
Essentially, I just need to make this backup folder go away
completely!
Any suggestions that will enable me to bypass manually touching each
file will be greatly appreciated.
