| | Hibernate gone after disk cleanup on Vista RC2 Everything was up and running really well on Vista RC2 until I ran the disk cleanup, when my notebook decided that it would now sleep instead of hibernate. After going through the power settings to bring it back, I found that the option had dissapeared all together. Anybody has had and solve this??? |

Yes, if you delete the Hibernation file with Disk Cleanup, it disables Hibernation. Type this "powercfg -h on" into the Start Menu's search bar, hit enter. I am using Vista without UAC on, so you may have to right click on the search result and select "Run as Administrator". -Michael |

| | Re: Hibernate gone after disk cleanup on Vista RC2 Many thanks for your reply, but it didn't work. I also tried it in command prompt, but it said I didn't have permission. Any suggestions??? Thanks again.
