Scheduled task when switching to battery mode

Hi,

I’m trying to create a scheduled task that will run when I unplug my
laptop, ie. when it switches to battery mode. I can’t seem to find
anything in the event logs that indicates that the laptop has switched
to battery mode, so I’m a little stuck.

Likewise, I’d like to run another scheduled task when I reconnect the
laptop to the power and it stops running on battery mode.

Does anyone know of a way that I can create such scheduled tasks?

Thanks,

All I can offer is encouragement: there are a few power status apps,
usually made to run in the Notification Area, that change the icon from a
lightning bolt to a battery icon when you unplug the power supply.

So it is obviously possible.
