Alot of programs not connecting

I just got Vista RC1 and nothing seems to be working that is internet related
except firefox.
Not IE, Windows Update, Gagets that use the internet to get info or AIM.
Whenever I do a diagnosis of the problem I get this error

"www.XXXXX.com is not set up to establish a connection on port World Wide
Web Service HTTP with this computer."

I have no idea what this means. I thought it was a problem with IE7, so i
tried to go and uninstall it. I can't even do that because the uninstall file
doens't exist.

I don't know what else to try.
