| vista home premium x46 | Switching users or black screen of nothing Hello, I was hit by 'personal antivirus' this morning. I believe I have got rid of it, but appear to be left with a strange problem. When I start up and log on (or any of the three user accounts) pc works fine, but when I try to switch user... the machine appears to lock up and the monitor turns black. The power light is still on the hard drive. If I switch off (hard press of the power switch), and then switch back on it boots up fine (as opposed to asking me if I want to go to safe mode etc.,). And then I (or other) can log on OK, until we want to swtich user... Any ideas ? |
