| | RunAs does nothing in Vista We have a couple of laptops running Windows Vista Business. When I right-click an executable and select RUNAS from the menu I get no login dialog. It just tries to run the application but that fails because the app needs elevated privileges. Why does this not work in Vista? (or what breaks this?) These laptops are on a domain. |

| | Re: RunAs does nothing in Vista Have you checked with your sysadmin to see if this is being blocked? It works for me but I'm not on a domain. | | Re: RunAs does nothing in Vista I am the system admin. There are no group policies defined to remove this. The option shows up as enabled on the popup menu but when I click on it nothing happens other than launching the executable. Is this functionality disabled by default even though the menu item appears? |

| | Re: RunAs does nothing in Vista It should not be. As I said it works for me but I do not have it on a domain PC so that's probably the first place to start looking.
