| | Vists 64 forgets folder setting Hi, I'm pretty new with Vista and my version is 64 bit. I have two annoying problems. 1) More often then not the the folder views I've set up revert to a default setting which I don't want. 2) Although I start the 32bit version of IE via a short cut it seems sometimes it's the 64bit version that starts and doesn't have the flash plugins etc installed. I shut IE and relaunch via the same short cut and sure enough it's all ok again? Any ideas, sensible cures would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Eddy |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Vists 64 forgets folder setting Hello Eddy, Q1) Applying METHOD TWO in this tutorial may be able to help Vista remember your folder view settings again. Windows Explorer Folder View settings Q2) If you are not sure which verision is opening, then you can click on Help and "About Internet Explorer" in IE to see if it has "64-bit" listed in it. If it does, then be sure to create the shortcut from the "C:\Program Files (x86)" folder. If it does not, then you may need to uninstall and reisntall the flash player if it is still not working in IE 32-bit. Hope this helps, Shawn Hi, I'm pretty new with Vista and my version is 64 bit. | | Re: Vists 64 forgets folder setting I've also sussed why IE 64 bit occasionally started up instead of the 32bit version............... (Red face here lol) It was my multimedia keyboard, if I set a key to open a web site it starts up the IE 64bit version, anyway I've got around it by launching IE 32bit direct from x86 folder with the web page passed as a parameter. Thanks again Eddy "PaulM" <NONO@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:uDmeLvk2JHA.240@xxxxxx Quote: > You are Welcome. > > -- > Windows XP and Vista Tweaks > ------------------------------------------------------------ > www.paulsxp.com > ------------------------------------------------------------ > Windows XP and Vista Help Forum > ------------------------------------------------------------ > www.paulsxp.com/forum > ------------------------------------------------------------ > Live Computer Help and Chat > ------------------------------------------------------------ > www.paulsxp.com/livesupport.html > ------------------------------------------------------------ > > > "Eddy" <johnboy200oops@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:eRQThAh2JHA.3812@xxxxxx Quote: >> Well 2 days gone by and the folders are still how I set them. >> >> Thank you everyone for the solutions.
