Vista - Nero 7.5.7.0 released 10/16/2006.

Nero 7.5.7.0 was released today 10/16/2006. It installs with no problems
with x64, Vista RC1 (5600) x64 and Vista RC2 (5744). I haven't tried all
functions yet, SmartStart, ISO burning and movie player work properly.

Thats good news I'll be downloading that right away. Do you know if they are
officially supporting Vista this with release?

To Dennis
1. Did you have Nero 6 installed?
2. Did you install 7 over 6? Did you unistall 6?
3. Did you check the XP compatibility mode?
4. can you be a little more specific. I have 6 installed now.
5. Did you still get that "program compatibilty assistant" window?

I have downloaded Nero 7.5.7. I am ready. Your response please.

I uninstalled Nero 6. Then I installed Nero7.5.7 as is. No more "program
compatibilty assistant" window. Nero 7 works great.

I wonder if it has the glitches that other v7 releases have had?.
ie gaps + 'scratches' when playing burned audio CDs. This problem made me
go back to v6 because it did not have the problem. (note: this was all
experienced on WinXP)

I got it installed and run too. The only install glitch that I had is it
tries to install Direct X 9.0c and unless you accept that to install as well
or you can't continue. I ran dxdiag.exe after and I am still on DirectX10.

So far everything I have tried seems to work fine. My hats off to Nero for
making their existing applications Vista compatible. I'll keep spending my
money on their products.
