| | Monitors won't go to power off all the time I've tried several things like updating the Nvidia drivers and still it don't put them in power saving mode. I don't know what else to do as it's frustrating to come down in the morning and see that the damn things have been on all night! Thanks for any help, Rich |

| | Re: Monitors won't go to power off all the time Make sure you are not using any screen savers prior to the monitor sleep mode. Some of these can keep a computer from functioning correctly because they use too many CPU cycles. The computer never goes to sleep nor does the monitor sleep. -- Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience "Rich" <madeyoulook@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:uwSlqzw4JHA.4184@xxxxxx Quote: > I've tried several things like updating the Nvidia drivers and still it > don't put them in power saving mode. > > I don't know what else to do as it's frustrating to come down in the > morning and see that the damn things have been on all night! > > Thanks for any help, Rich > |

| | Re: Monitors won't go to power off all the time I use blank and that kicks in before the time out for sleep. I thought it was only the 3d savers that kept things from sleeping? Should I set sleep before screen saver or just turn saver off and let the power mode do the saving as well? Thanks for the heads up, Rich "Richard Urban" <richardurbanREMOVETHIS@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:ucXTanx4JHA.6004@xxxxxx Quote: > Make sure you are not using any screen savers prior to the monitor sleep > mode.
