| Guest | Network failure caused by torrent client? I have 3 PC's connected on SMC wireless USB print server router (but they are connected wired, not wireless), Vista RC2 I noticed kind of odd behaviour when running torrent client -i tried Azureus and uTorrent - both start fine, start to download, but then after a while (might be 5 minutes, might be 15) d/l falls to zero, and when i open network tab (of windows, i mean) i see only my PC is there, no router, no home network, no other 2 PC's. Trying to repair fails, disabling and re-enabling fails, only solution is to reboot. Any clues what might cause this? |

Only legal stuff..." **Don't bother feeding the trolls, it's a waste of time** As far as the problem goes, I haven't seen it with torrents here ( I just use a wired router ) but at random times, windows mail gives a "no internet connection available error". I have an always on connection and selecting "try again" always gets it working. I'm thinking this is a network problem in Vista in general rather than a torrent problem. Most likely will be fixed by in RTM. -Mike "Protoncek (ex. I too have permanent connection (wired, i keep wireless part off), since router is connected to Internet. But funny thing is that when this happens, i can't even reach router - same old error. However if i d/l normally, directly via Explorer, all is OK... > "Protoncek (ex. | Guest | Re: Network failure caused by torrent client? I have the Same Problem. I couldn't get Azureus to work more than a hour or so. I had to reboot the system to get connection again to anything, even my router. But I could get uTorrent to work fine. It seems to be a problem with tcpip.sys and it's concurrent connection limit. Pretty Strange that I didn't have this problem in RC1, or XP SP2, which both have the same connection limit from what I understand. "Protoncek (ex. | Guest | Re: Network failure caused by torrent client? Seems to be a problem with build 5728/5744 and nvidia nforce 4 or those with the nvidia marvell 88E1111 lan controller. Oddly utorrent works but it's slow compared to azureus which makes me wonder a java/azureus prob with builds after RC1 on nvidia? |
