| | Complete PC Backup Problem I have a single USB 2.0 disk that's dedicated to system backups exclusively. I've never had system backup problems until now. I've tried reformatting USB disk but still get the following error: Windows could not find any backup devices. Possible problems could be incorrect filename, directory name or volume label syntax. 0x8007007B Running Vista Ultimate SP1. Last successful system backup was last month (May 2009). Only configuration changes have been installation of Microsoft Security patches from earlier this month via windows update. Anyone have a clue of this? |

Unfortunately, I cannot help you with your problem. I can sympathize with your plight, however, in trying to use Windows Backup. I found with each version of Windows it became harder and harder to use. The last straw was when Backup under Vista would not read the .BKF files I made with Backup under XP. Now I ask you, of what value is a backup program that refuses to read backups made by an earlier version? Do I have to keep XP around just so I can recover my backups? So I splurged and paid $50 for Acronis backup and consider it money well spent. |
