Search Engine

Hi,

I just install IE8 on my laptop, and when it came time to set-up the search
engine, I told it to use my current set-up, but I just lost the Live Search,
and everytime that I try to install it back I get a weird website called
BING, which feels like the Live Search site has somehow being hacked.

Is there a way to get back the Live Search

Re: Search Engine

Bing is Microsoft's new search service. It replaced Live Search.

Re: Search Engine

Why did tehy replace something that was work perfectly well

And now we have to learn a new crapy website that probably does not even
work 90% of the time, and could not find even a comma in a sentence

Posts here and elsewhere have informed me that Bing is (roughly speaking)
Microsoft's replacement for Google :-)

I suggest you go to Microsoft's site and search for Bing. I plan to do the
same someday, just not right now :-)

Re: Search Engine

Many right now are giving Bing rave reviews. I like it MUCH better than Live
Search. I have not used google in 2 weeks now.

Re: Search Engine

But I still can not configure IE8 to use Live Search which I know and trust
instead of something that has the name of sound, and is probably not worth
it at all

I would like to know how to go to Live Search, because everytime that I type
http://search.live.com I end up at BONG and the adress in the the bar says
that I am not where I want to be, I am ending up at www.bong.com

So I have to beleive that http://search.live.com as being hacked somehow by
hacker(s), and are probably trying to steal personal information

Which part of "LIVE SEARCH IS DEAD" don't you understand?

Quite an algorithm they have at Bing: I searched for "Vista bug" and
got an advert for Orkin.
