I haven't used it because I don't use programs like that on my Windows
machines. I will say that it sounds like snakeoil, but that's only my
opinion about these types of programs. See this thread about registry
cleaners:

http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=28099

IMO if you keep your computer maintained (and there is very little work to
this) and malware-free, there is no need for "advanced system care" type
programs. But that's just me and my Windows machines which go for years and
years solid as a rock, even when used by teenaged boys.

I haven't tried that particular one, but I recommend that you stay as
far away as possible from *all* registry cleaners and programs that
purport to do the things this one says it does. The problem is not
just that it will not do the "advertised job," it's also that its use
is dangerous.

Registry cleaning programs are *all* snake oil. Cleaning of the
registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and
don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of,
having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously
removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit
it may have.

Be careful - VERY careful - when using that program.

I played with it when it first became available, but only looked at
all that it could do... and finally decided to dump it.

Vista doesn't need tweaking.

Advertising is partial and from given experiences across the board we know,
as Malke, Ken and Manny already tried to explain, that 'any' registry
cleaner is dangerous for the average user and should be avoided at all
costs.
Only the very experienced can afford to get involved with their use and I
venture to say, most of them don't, because these registry cleaners have no
effect on the performance of any Microsoft System, nor any other for that
matter.

Re: Advanced System Care

I've used it,,, IF you don't use its one click maintance it has some other
very nice maintance features - for free!
Just now I clicked its main maintance function which includes a basic
registry scan,, it found four items in my vista registry to fix.
Too bad it doesn't seen to offer up a list of what it found -- but if you
look at the list of what it does scan for you can decide for yourself if its
simple or not & it is quiet simple to check/uncheck any items you want or
not scanned.

Its default registry clean is what I would consider very mild safe items
for the most part... it does offer a 'deep scan' where one might want to be
careful.

Most things in it are configurable much like say cCleaner.
