Vista - bootmgr compressed

i bought my comp with vista. so i dont have vista dvd so how am i suppose to fix without it?

You must burn the .iso as an image, not as data, using third-party burning
software such as the free ImgBurn.

Did you use 'Disk Manager' to check if there is a recovery partition on the
harddrive?

Otherwise, you will have to depend on know-how, System Restore, and backups
and disk images you've made and so on. You could borrow a copy of Windows
from someone if you know anyone willing to lend. You could even buy the
cheapest retail upgrade copy (Windows Vista Home Basic Upgrd.) if it is
really important to you - it will have all the files for all the versions
even though the disc is labeled 'Basic'.

If you are willing to wait, you could blow 49 bucks for the Windows 7
Upgrade:

They are selling Windows 7 Upgrades at steep discount right now, you might
take advantage of it. If you are not from the USA you might still be able to
get it .. I used Amazon.ca to buy the Professional Upgrd at 1/2 price in
Cdn. dollars.
