| | Re: context menu on desktop Try this, I don't guarantee but it's a possible solution: 1) Make sure you haven't set "NoViewContextMenu" policy to "enabled in Policies (it's set thru GP/GPOedit or other computer management consoles). BTW, make sure you're an Adminsitrator & nobody is lurking around your machine playing with Policies. 2) Run Regedit and navigate to the keys shown here. If you have the "NoViewContextMenu" policy set you can just right click on it and delete it or modify the data value to '0' User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ Explorer] System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ Explorer] Name: NoViewContextMenu Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value) Value: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled) It should be "0" (disabled) so context menu does show. If this doesn't help, wait for more responses. Stan Starinski, MSEE. |
