| | Network icon in system tray The icon is usually two computers with a red X, or a yellow triangle, or a blue circle. I had a moment when there was nothing on the two computers and I couldn't connect to a site. After a minute it went back to normal. Do you know what that might mean? If I had no connection, I would expect a red X there. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Network icon in system tray Hello Richard, Depending on how you have Automatic Windows Update setup, Vista may have been installing and updating your metwork adapter drivers at the time. If you had just started Vista, then it may take a few seconds to initialize the network device and establish a connection. If you have timed out on the network or temporarily lost local connection only, then it may take a second to reconnect when you are active again causing what you have seen to. Hope this helps some, Shawn The icon is usually two computers with a red X, or a yellow triangle, or a blue circle.
