| Vista Ultimate x32 | Advanced Indexing Options--No File Types! Hello, everyone. I went to tweak my indexing settings, and noticed something rather odd (and somewhat disturbing). Under "Control Panel"-->"Indexing Options"-->"Advanced" button-->"File Types" tab, there are NO filetypes listed. (see attached image) How can I fix this? Thanks! Joe C |

Joe C Sometimes the indexing needs to be re-built. You can goto indexing cpanel advanced and rebuild it to see if that helps. gonna take a while so make sure y ou do it when its idle. Ken |

I've tried restarting the service, checking the permissions on the registry entries, and I'm rebuilding the index over night. Not sure what it's indexing, though, if none of the file types are visible or checked off!  JC |
