Deleted files don't go to recycle bin

Deleted files don't go into recycle bin, when I deleted files..they seemed to be deleted permanently without going to recycle bin first.
How do I fix this problem? I'm using Vista home premium 32 bit. And I really hate the vista lol.

Thanks in advance

Bela

RE: Deleted files don't go to recycle bin

Hello Bela,

Right-click the Recycle Bin and choose Properties.

Make sure that the option "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin.

Remove files immediately when deleted" is not chosen (choose the
alternative).

Could also be that the files are too large to fit in the recycle bin,
or that you don't have enough free space on your drive? Although I
believe you might get a pop-up warning you if that is the case.

The file is small..its a new pc. And I've already gone to recycle bin property to make sure that the file is not moving to permanently delete option when I deleted it.

Re: Deleted files don't go to recycle bin

Hi Shawn,

Thanks for keep in touch. I did download Fix_Recycle_Bin.reg
file and run it, I also tried to change recycle bin icon around as
you suggested but nothing is working so far. When I tried to
deleted file..it will ask " are you sure you want to permanently
delete this file?" and after I deleted it..the file was just disappeared without going to recycle bin.

Ps.
I have very little knowledge about windows operating system

Just a shot in the dark. By any chance do you have a 3rd party Recycle Bin like
Norton as an example installed
