How to use HOSTS file with Vista RC2?

How to use HOSTS file with Vista RC2?
Can it be done?
Is it done differently from XP?
Is it necessary with Vista?

you have to edit the priviledges in this file, to full control, in order to
save the changes you make on it!

Hi Chris,

Easiest way would probably be to open Notepad with Administrative
permissions and opening %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Re: How to use HOSTS file with Vista RC2?

Chris,

Its still the same as XP as far as I can tell. However it does look like
there seems to be some support for IPv6 but no information on it in the
text.

There is the same HOSTS file as XP sitting in the same location
%systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc
