Screen Recording Software?

I know this is a forum for Windows Vista, but I would like to demo the
software for my students by making video clips of some of Vista's features.

Everything I have tried so far doesn't produce anything remotely good
(Camtasia- won't work, Super Screen Recorder & Desktop Screen Recorder 5 -
record audio fine but the video is all garbled.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks in advance

Jeff

Re: Screen Recording Software?

Jeff,
Could you take a series of screen shots with the snipping tool and make a
PowerPoint presentation, or use the Movie Maker feature (of which I know
nothing about).?? - just an early morning pre-coffee idea.

Morning BChat,

That would be one answer - and I'm sure it would work. (Not bad for
pre-coffee ideas!)

I was just hoping for "full motion video" demos.

Re: Screen Recording Software?

Hey Jeff

You could try luminositi softcam. I am using it on Vista. You can capture
Still and AVI vids. Hope this helps.

Re: Screen Recording Software?

Hmmm... it would seem that my scrambled video only occurs when I try to
record audio.

I removed my mic and didn't record any audio and the video is fine.

I'm going to try the mic in a different location (using the Line in" in the
front of my pc... Will try the mic jack in the rear.

Wish me luck.
