| | Headphones dont work Yesterday I unpluged my headphones from the jack located in front of the computer because the wire became tangled, when I plugged them back in, I no longer got sound, so I restarted the computer thinking that was the problem and it still didn't work. I have checked the volume and sound card and they are fine. I can't even hear the test sound. Any help? -- PrezKWAWF ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PrezKWAWF's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/126815.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-help/1234530.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

| | Re: Headphones dont work Are they USB headphones? If they are not, make sure the headphones are plugged in before you turn your PC on. | | Re: Headphones dont work Hi, PrezKWAWF. Is it plugged in? I hate to ask such a simple question, but, yes, it has happened to me - and probably to just about everyone at least once. :^{ The stereo jack has fooled me more than once. After it seems to be all the way in, a harder push seats it just a little deeper - and then it works. Also, my computer case is not as rigid as it should be. When I insert a USB plug into the front socket, it almost always backs into the case and I have to open the case and push it firmly back into its socket holder. Maybe your stereo jack has a similar problem internally? RC -- R. C. It is plugged in, because when I plug it in, a sign pops on saying "You just plugged a device into the audio jack" +Bob+;4578239 Wrote: Quote: > On Thu, 20 Aug 2009 18:19:45 +0530, PrezKWAWF > <PrezKWAWF.3x7y3b@xxxxxx> wrote: > Quote: > >Yesterday I unpluged my headphones from the jack located in front of Quote: > >computer because the wire became tangled, when I plugged them back in, Quote: > >no longer got sound, so I restarted the computer thinking that was Quote: > >problem and it still didn't work.
