need help, vista wont boot

Ok so when I turn on my laptop, vista wont boot, I just get a black screen w/ cursor. I looked on this forum to try to find a solution, followed the instructions, but when i go to the advanced boot options screen, I dont have the"repair" options. Also I dont have a vista starup disk, because my laptop came with vista pre-installed. What should I do??? Please help

You are going to have to beg, borrow or steal a vista install disk to
attempt to repair your installation. The manufacturer may be able to
provide one for you.
If you can't repair the vista installation and you need to save the
data off the HDD drive, remove it then install it in a USB HDD enclosure
and on another computer copying the data to it. Then put the HDD back in
the laptop and reinstall Vista.
The manufacturer may also have a disk that will allow you to test the
hardware on your computer to see it has failed, contact them if you can.
