Advice when you cannot install RC1

I had loads of tries at installing and it would blue screen everytime at the
completing installation stage.
Tried all sorts of things to see why it would blue screen with no luck.
Then I disabled USB in the bios and tried installing RC2.
Worked first time..............
installed and works ok.
I don't know if it was because I turned off USB in the bios and the fact it
was RC2, OR that I disabled USB, OR that it was just the fact I installed
RC2.
Also you do NOT have to have SATA drivers for Vista RC2 onwards.
It comes with basic Sata drivers and basic Graphics card drivers.
I have not had to install any drivers other than soundcard ones.

Re: Advice when you cannot install RC1

That may be true for "your" motherboard!

Please note that whether, or not, you have to manually install SATA drivers
is dependent on the M/B in use and it's implementation of the SATA
protocols.

EX:
Asus A7N8X2.0 Deluxe, one of the first boards available with built-in SATA,
absolutely requires that the SATA drivers be loaded manually. If you don't,
you can not access your SATA drives to install "any" operating system,
including Vista.
