Resolving DCOM Event ID 100016

Log Name: System
Source: DCOM
Date: 6/4/2006 4:34:32 PM
Event ID: 10016
Task Category: None
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic
User: SYSTEM
Computer: DJEXTREME-PC
Description:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch
permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{69486DD6-C19F-42E8-B508-A53F9F8E67B8}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost
(Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component
Services administrative tool.

I receive about 100 of theses errors about in an hour.

Try turning off UAC -

Do these just appear in your Event Log or as visual dialogs?

Re: Resolving DCOM Event ID 100016

I would try turning off UAP, click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run
> type in MSCONFIG > Tools (tab) > scroll down select "Disable UAP" > click

"Launch" > close Command Prompt > restart system for changes to take effect.

Re: Resolving DCOM Event ID 100016

I found if you go to the run command and type "dcomcnfg" it brings up
component services.
