| | Re: Got 5 speakers on 2 work?!?!? What sound card is it ? Are you using a 5.1 processor along with your system ? What drivers are loaded ? What version are those drivers ? Is the card known to be compatible with Vista ? What version of the OS do you have ? RC1 or RC2 ? Too little information to really give you any good feedback... | | Re: Got 5 speakers on 2 work?!?!? Luke-- When that happens I would: 1) Unplug any connections into your sound card in the back of the PC and replug. Make sure all connections from those speakers are in tight and there isn't a loose connection port. 2) Open box and make sure you clean it and the sound card from dust, etc. 3) Go to the Sound applet on the Vista control panel and make sure you open up every possible button that shows a speaker configuration and ensure that a pulldown for Surround or 5 Speakers or words similar is selected. 4) Make sure you have the latest appropriate driver downloaded from the sound card manufacturer's site if the sound card is free standing as per Chris' suggestions.
