Displaying file in explorer

Hi,
I m using HP photo and scanning software. In this when I select any photo
and press enter to open it gives an error. If I select the photo and by the
drop down arrow select that particular photo which I want to open, it works.
All my photos are in JPG format. I had faced the same problem in Win XP but I
could solve it by displaying the full file name in explorer with extension
then it was opening. In vista, I m not able to find this option. Please help.
Thanks n best regards,

Since you had the same issue under a completely different operating system,
you know the cause is HP's poorly written software. HP is known for this.
Contact HP tech support for help or look on the HP forums to see if anyone
has solved the problem.

Before you do that, check on HP's website to see if there is updated
software for your device. If you installed the device from CD, there may be
updated drivers which will solve your issue.

To display the extension, go to "Organize" (top left) > Folder and search options > View tab > uncheck "hide extensions for known file types"
