Re: possible to slipstream vista?

Its a different process with Vista. From Paul Thurrott's SuperSite for
Windows It's the future of Windows ... Today!

" copy the update into an Updates folder found in the root of any Vista
Setup DVD..."

Re: possible to slipstream vista?

Tom,
I think so.
I think thats what WAIK(Windows Advanced Installation Kit?) is all about;
custom installs.
Haven't used it yet, but I'm sure it'll be done.
Sorry for the general info-but to answer you; think so!!!
LOL

Re: possible to slipstream vista?

So basically I just need to edit my RC2 image and create a folder called
Updates and then place the drivers into that folder that I wanted
slipstreamed and it would load them for me? Is this correct?

RE: possible to slipstream vista?

I believe nLite has now officially stopped working on XP versions of their
software and now focussing on Vista. Their software is free and known to be
the best Slipstreaming/Install Customisation package for XP.

Re: possible to slipstream vista?

I didn't know they were working on a vista version. I used that for all of
my xp slipstreams.

Re: possible to slipstream vista?

An update folder already exists, use that one.

Re: possible to slipstream vista?

So all we have to do is put our updates in there and vista will
automatically check the folder to see the updates? Or do we have to edit a
setup.ini or something. Would this work for exe files as well?
