| | Windows Mail, Newsreader and Program Compatability Vista version to use: Home Premium on a new computer. Windows Mail: I assume that there is an import capability for archived mail, folders and signatures from OE6? Newsreader: Same, or similar to, OE6's? Is there such a thing as an easy to use *subject* killfile in the "new" newsreader? Program Compatibility: XP had an applet/program that would scan for, and report on, possible program compatibility problems. I have read about Upgrade Advisor but have not yet tried it. Will Upgrade Advisor report on possible program incompatibilities? I am interested in hiccups from Backup MyPC, Inachis e-Backup (no longer supported), PaperPort 10 and Quicken 2007. Or should I email the individual companies? -- "The king of Israel answered, "Tell him: 'One who puts on his armor should not boast like one who takes it off." |

| | Re: Windows Mail, Newsreader and Program Compatability Vista has a backup program. PaperPort 10 wouldn't install for me on either version (86 or 64) Drivers are definately the problem on 64, I forget the problem on 86. Yes, there is an Import Wizard under File menu, it will allow you to import messages and contacts. Not sure about signatures though. >> Newsreader: Same, or similar to, OE6's? Is there such a thing as an easy >> to use *subject* killfile in the "new" newsreader? If that qualifies for the "killfile", you can "Ignore Conversation" from "Message" menu or create a rule that will delete messages with specific subject. -- Alexander Suhovey |
