Vista - Vista and Laptops

Is there anyway to define on vista so that laptops running on batteries switch
to basic theme not using aero while on battery source?

Well yeah, you can, in fact, Vista migt do it automatically for you. It
switched be automatically to Basic regardless my card is capable of using
AERO Glass. As for automatically doing it according to batter power, I don't
think so, you will have manually enable it unless you right some script to
so.

Bruno, see if you can tag the command to shut off Aero (I don't know what
that is) to run in Task Scheduler when you go on battery power. There is
very likely to be an event associated with battery power. Have a look...
