| | Text editor that doesn't need an install Use to have a very good text editor on my work PC (win 2000), firstly TextPad and then PSPad. My work PC has now been upgraded to Vista Enterprise and I can't reinstall them, since I don't have admin rights and don't expect to be easily given them. Anyone know of a text editor like either of these which can simply be run as an exe? Thanks, Martin J |

It is free so you won't be out much except time to try it. The program is also available as a Portable App which runs from a USB key but I don't know how that would work out under Vista's draconian rules. -- John McGaw http://johnmcgaw.com |

But Zeus does need minimal user permissions as it does write some information to the users Windows registry. Jussi Jumppanen Author: Zeus for Windows IDE |
