I NEED RTM ON MSDN NOW!

DEAR MICROSOFT,

I AM WRITING TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I AM PARTICIPATING IN A EXTERNAL
BETA TESTING PROJECT FOR A NEW CONFIDENTIAL SOFTWARE BETA FOR ONE OF
MICROSOFT'S TOP ANTIVIRUS AND INTERNET SECURITY COMPETITOR'S AND I NEED RTM
TO BE POSTED ON MSDN NOW, JUST FYI. I WOULD ALSO NOTE THAT I AM DOING THIS
BETA TESTING ON A COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY AND UNPAID BASES, JUST FYI.

Why do you think MS is under any obligation to make this available to you
because you are doing volunteer beta testing for someone else's product. If
the vendor is a large one, they likely already have access to RTM. MSDN
subscriptions has stated clearly that Vista will be available this Friday.
Learn patience, it would benefit you immensely.

MSDN Downloads

Re: I NEED RTM ON MSDN NOW!

Mr. Panzke,

Thank you for your post regarding your need to beta test anti-virus software
on Windows Vista RTM. Security is important to Microsoft and we agree that
testing of anti-virus software must trump all other concerns. As such, we
will be immediately posting Windows Vista RTM to your MSDN subscriber
account.

Because of a glitch in the server software, when we make a download such as
this available to one account only, the download sometimes does not show as
available on the subscriber's webpage. In order to get access to the Windows
Vista RTM download, please navigate to the page that shows your available
downloads and begin clicking the "refresh" button every 5 seconds until the
download appears. There is no way for us to know for sure how long you will
need to click the refresh button for, but we assure you that if you continue
clicking the refresh button, you will eventually gain access to the download
of Windows Vista RTM.

Thank you again for working diligently to help improve security in Windows
Vista. It is MSDN subscribers like you that help make Microsoft great.

Sincerely,
The MSDN Download Team

That doesn't answer my question. Why do you think MS is under any
obligation to make this available to you because you are doing volunteer
beta testing for someone else's product?

Vista will be available on MSDN on Friday. They are not going to change
that timeline because you feel you should have it before then.
